WINTER 2011 Meet the Busy Places and Friendly Faces of Cities! - where we will co-create a city that's familiar, yet like no other. And a city that's really many "cities" in one. There's a city of music of songs, recorded works and city sounds. There's a city of the imagination - of three- and four-year-olds being whoever they imagine themselves to be today: a broom man, or maybe an opera singer? There's a city of stories - of lost dogs and found dogs and of a globe-trotting photographer. Best of all, in Cities! Busy Places ~ Friendly Faces, children from all kinds of communities will find commonalities with their lives.
FALL 2011 In See What I Saw, you'll enjoy the many wonders of a trip to Grasshopper Park. The music in Imagine That! represents a variety of different cultures with songs from Ghana, Latin America, Greece, and France. You'll find some favorites from Growing with Kindermusik, including Ha Ha This-a-Way, Jim Along, Josie, and Mr. Sun, as well as familiar folk tunes such as A Tisket, A Tasket, Shoo-Fly, and Allee Galloo. There are also many new, original compositions like the chant Everything is Just Fine.
WINTER 2010 What's more exciting to a 3-or 4-year-old than a new toy? How about an entire Toy Shop full of toys?! A remarkable toy shop, filled with boats, trains, balls, jack-in-the-box and many other toys is exactly what your child will enjoy in Toys I Make, Trips I Take. While activities are centered on a child's pretend play and imagination, this unit of Imagine That! firmly integrates the learning process by placing a strong musical emphasis on singing, steady beat and ensemble, as well as rhythm and rhythmic patterns.
FALL 2010 Hello, Weather! Let's Play Together encourages children and their families to get outdoors and share time together in all types of weather! Children will explore the connected, smooth sounds of legato and the separated sounds of staccato. They'll learn about fast and slow tempos. And the Kindermusik Ankle Bells and Rain Shaker will help children develop steady beat and enhance creative musical expression. Literature books are also an important part of the semester. Adding to the thrill for preschoolers are at home projects such as making wind chimes, rain hats, sleigh bells and snow boots! |
